I was going through a lot of old photos today, and came across a funny one I’d completely forgotten. About a year ago I was working with a medical writer to document treatment for colorectal cancer. Video summary: Low anterior resection

Low anterior resection

Some videos I’ve made of surgery for colorectal cancer was published this week on www.oncolex.no.

These videos are the first made with a new camera stand I’ve designed. It provides excellent access to open abdominal surgery.

To make the videos available to a larger audience I’ll provide step by step summaries for them, which will hopefully make it easier to watch the videos, even though the commentaries are in Norwegian.

This post features a low anterior resection. The next will feature a left hemicolectomy, a cylindrical abdomino-perineal resection (APR) and a peritonectomy with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC).
