Cancer Vixen online

I just discovered that “Cancer Vixen”, an autobiographical comic book by Marisa Acocella Marchetto is available in its entirety online.
The book tagline goes like this:
What happens when a shoe-crazy, lipstick-obsessed, wine-swilling, pasta-slurping, fashion-fanatic, single-forever, about-to-get-married big-city girl cartoonist with a fabulous life finds . . . a lump in her breast?
A personal journey through the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, this should be an interesting read for anyone who’s a cancer patient, knows someone with cancer or who’s involved in cancer care – big-city-fashion-obsessed or not (image credit).
Check out Marisa’s website, where you can also buy the book. A percentage of the profits will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
On a personal note: Marisa has actually commented The Sterile Eye once. Not bad!
Marisa also creates an original Cancer Vixen cartoon blog (with blogs and blogs and photos) on HealthCentral’s MyBreastCancerNetwork.com.
In October 2008, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she’ll be blogging from her C.O. Bigelow tour stops and introducing her No Breast Left Behind program.
